The mechanics of sucking on a breast and bottle or pacifier are very different and have different affects on the mouth and jaw.
Whether you'll need to use a bottle to go back to work or choose to use a pacifier every now and then for your baby, how do you choose the right one for your breastfed babe?
Is shaped like a breast the best? It seems like the wide mouth bottles make the most sense for a breastfed baby, but that's actually not the case.
That's because a nipple from a breast is more pliable and shapable than the nipple of a silicone bottle, causing baby to purse their lips and resulting in a shallow latch. Ouch!
