No one wants to believe their birth in the hospital or birth center or even at home will include interventions that aren't really necessary. That medical providers might not have our best interests at heart, and are instead worried about liability.
We have a HUGE birth industry problem in this country and many others. Birth is treated like a "condition" that needs to be "fixed". Providers are worried about liability and in worse case scenarios, getting home by dinner time.
